My first ...
Middle school, a time to remember and a time to forget. Middle school served for many of my "Firsts"; my first crush, my first time ditching school, my first girlfriend, my first fight ext... . But i think the most memorable one would be my first kiss. It was early one morning, there was a slight breeze in the air, i had forgotten my jacket and was pretty chili. That day just any other day at my middle school you could smell the aroma of farmer johns in the distance. The ruckus of the children playing in the school yard felt almost normal. That day i felt confident, strong, enlightened or you could say i felt on top of the world. During nutrition my friend Ricky and i were socializing next to the cafeteria when his girlfriend came out of the blue and took him with her. I was left alone but i was soon joined by a mysterious girl. She was in my social studies class but i never had the chance of speaking with her. She was about 5'2, slim, and had long flowing hair. I think the part i liked most about her was her light green eyes. We were engaged in a stimulated conversation when the bell decided to ring a little early that morning. I felt almost compelled to ask if she would like to do this again and so i did. She agreed we would meet up next to the main office for lunch. The whole time in class i could not pay attention, my mind was focused on her and what we would talk about next. The bell rang again signaling lunch time. I quickly rushed to the main office and sat on a bench diagonal to the entrance. I waited there for almost twenty minutes until i decided to give up and just go find my friends . As i walked down the hall i find my friends next to the trash can in the math hallway. I spent the remainder of lunch with them sad and hart-broken. The bell rang again signaling the end of lunch and the begging of fifth period. Who else do i find waiting at the door but her, the girl with the green eye. She approaches me and apologizes for not showing up, i of course didn't care that she didn't show up i just care that we were together. She somehow convinced me to ditch fifth and go with her to P.E. We went all the way to the end of the court-yard were we found a nice shady part to sit down and talk. We spend the period there talking and when the final bell rang and all the children came running our ready to end the day she grabbed my hand and looked into my eyes. I could feel my blood rushing and my heart pumping. I must have been as red as a tomato. Her face and my face came ever much closer. I closed my eyes for fear of what might go wrong but when our lips finally met, it felt almost natural. At that moment i was frozen in time, everything around me moved forward but i stayed perfectly still. But what seemed like a long time turned our to be only a few mere seconds. The sad part of it all was that she would soon move far beyond my reach and i would go back to my ordinary life, but that "first" is a first i won't soon forget.

Google Glasses
Google
glasses are the future of technology. They are glasses made by Google intended
to be a computer that you wear on your face. You can socialize with
friends, get directions to a desired location, and receive information from the World
Wide Web. I would enjoy testing the glasses out for myself. I want to test the
whole video chat feature to see how that would work. I would use these glasses
daily in a sense that it would make my life that much easier. There might be
some negative effects of having a computer screen right in your eye. For one it
would add one more thing to distract drivers. Second, I don't think it could be
good having a screen that closes to your eye. The glasses look very fragile and who knows
how much money it would be to repair or even replace these glasses. Imagine you
drop your glasses by accident and someone steps on them, unless they come with
insurance I would not but the product. Keep in mind people would wear these
glasses out in the open and can be stolen and misplaced very easily. In
conclusion I would buy this product if the price is reasonable.

Free Write
today feels like a weird day. i woke up really early thanks to them changing the time an hour back and today the scedual for school is really messed up. i ate some gummy bears and for some reason im thirsty. i just cant wait to get home and play fifia 11 and make my team a lot stronger. so far my team is undefeated three zero and im going for my fourth. my star player i made myself personally. i gave him my nickname and he is basically the one who scores all the goals in the team.
My friend let me barrow one of his games called "FIFA 11." If your could not tell already by the title, it is a soccer game. At first i was just playing around with the game playing exhibition matches between random teams. About two days ago i started to explore the game and really find out what the game had to offer. I came upon an extra in the game where you could create your own character. I made him just like i wish i could play soccer. Then i put him into my made up team and started the career mode which i can manage personally. I have already played two games with the team and so far we are undefeated. I still have more that i can learn about the game but before i can do that i must get home. Now i must wait until school is over for the real fun to begin.

"Smart Cows"
People are always finding new ways to incorporate technology in our lives. Technology makes life simpler for us. One new devise that makes people's lives easier is a "smart collar". The collar is meant to help farmers keep tabs on their live stock. This is a two point two million dollar project funded by the University of Strathclyde in the UK. The collar has the same 3D sensors as the ones used in the Wii controllers. A sign that a cow might be sick is when it lowers its head. The way this collar works is it monitors the cows head position.
The collar also can detect the body heat of the cow to increase how accurate its readings are. After the collar processes all the data it sends a text message to the farmer updating him on his cows conditions. Soon farmers will be able to monitor how there cows are doing through their cell phones. The farmers will not lose as many cows because they will always be monitored by the collar and alerted if anything goes wrong. "Not only can this development help to save the farmer money, it can also help to keep food affordable," says David Evans the head of agriculture at British food. In my opinion this is the future of farming.

Computers
Since the beginning of humanity we have slowly but surely been taping on the topic of "technology." The First computer ever built was enormous, it took up a whole room. Not only was it big but it only had the capacity to do what a wrist watch could do today or even a common calculator. There is one pattern that shows up repeatedly when it comes to technology. We started off with a computer that took up a whole room and we ended up with computers about a foot in length and width that can outperform the first computer any day of the week. My point is that technology is continuously shrinking. Its the trend of technology the smaller the better. We keep making technology smaller. This leads me to the conclusion that someday soon we will have made computers as small as a common cell phone. Making laptops and home computers obsolete. Another Trend spreading through the technology world would be making the computer easier to use and allowing it to contain more functions. This future computer will be small and portable while still containing the power to do anything a modern computer can do and maybe even more.

Nutrition and me
At the beginning of class i was skeptical about the whole "nutrition" concept. I had herd so many people talk about how nutrition has changed there life and how it will do the same for me. I on the other hand was not expecting to hear what the guest speaker had to say. At first i did not hear anything i hadn't heard before. I was surprised to see "Cancer" as one of his concepts. Tomatoes can help prevent cancer? are you serious? but i do not like tomatoes. What about milk is that good for you or just a myth? According to our guest speaker it does nothing but deprive our bones of much needed calcium. My whole world at that point was turned upside down. Everything i was told suddenly was put into questions. How can it be possible that so many people are not aware of this? Who would benefit from peoples misfortunes? Ah yes the large corporations that run this sweat piece of paradise we call home. Who else has the resources to manipulate millions of people to eat there harmful products. What will i do to combat these corporations? Simple i wont buy anything that has odd ingredients that i do not even know about. Easy rule to follow, if you don't know what its in it you probably should not be eating it.

Winter break
i did many things over my winter break. Some days were better than others. My first day of vacation was one of the best. My cousin came from Bakersfield to spend his vacation with my family and i. The first day my cousin and i went to the arcade followed by a trip to the theaters. Only one thing made my great day go wrong. when we got home i had set my wallet somewhere in my room and when we were getting ready to go eat out i could not find my wallet. i looked for my wallet for the rest of the night (i still haven't found it).
I have one main goal and that is to find some form of employment. I find myself asking my parents more frequently for money. I don't mind going to my parents for money once in a while but when it gets to the point where i am asking them constantly for money I know it has gotten out of hand. I also think getting a job will show me some form of responsibility and prove to my parents that i am in a way maturing. I am currently working on a few resumes and searching for a few job openings.
Coming back to school is not that bad. I get to see my friends again. I am now doing something productive because when i'm at my house i have nothing to do but lay in my bed all day watching tv.
That might sound interesting to some people but after a while i get bored of it. It feels good to be back in school.
