The collar also can detect the body heat of the cow to increase how accurate its readings are. After the collar processes all the data it sends a text message to the farmer updating him on his cows conditions. Soon farmers will be able to monitor how there cows are doing through their cell phones. The farmers will not lose as many cows because they will always be monitored by the collar and alerted if anything goes wrong. "Not only can this development help to save the farmer money, it can also help to keep food affordable," says David Evans the head of agriculture at British food. In my opinion this is the future of farming.

"Smart Cows"
People are always finding new ways to incorporate technology in our lives. Technology makes life simpler for us. One new devise that makes people's lives easier is a "smart collar". The collar is meant to help farmers keep tabs on their live stock. This is a two point two million dollar project funded by the University of Strathclyde in the UK. The collar has the same 3D sensors as the ones used in the Wii controllers. A sign that a cow might be sick is when it lowers its head. The way this collar works is it monitors the cows head position.

Computers
Since the beginning of humanity we have slowly but surely been taping on the topic of "technology." The First computer ever built was enormous, it took up a whole room. Not only was it big but it only had the capacity to do what a wrist watch could do today or even a common calculator. There is one pattern that shows up repeatedly when it comes to technology. We started off with a computer that took up a whole room and we ended up with computers about a foot in length and width that can outperform the first computer any day of the week. My point is that technology is continuously shrinking. Its the trend of technology the smaller the better. We keep making technology smaller. This leads me to the conclusion that someday soon we will have made computers as small as a common cell phone. Making laptops and home computers obsolete. Another Trend spreading through the technology world would be making the computer easier to use and allowing it to contain more functions. This future computer will be small and portable while still containing the power to do anything a modern computer can do and maybe even more.
